The one year Master's program leads to the degree of Master of Arts in Gender Studies and Feminist Research.
The M.A. prepares students for further graduate work at the doctoral level in the interdisciplinary fields of Women's and Gender Studies as well as other discipline-specific programs in Humanities and Social Science.
It may also serve as a terminal degree that provides students with the critical thinking and communication skills, knowledge base, and experiential learning opportunities to prepare them for careers in a wide range of fields (education, law, journalism, non-profit community work, public policy, and social work). In particular, the Knowledge in Action core component provides students a unique opportunity to engage with community organizations advancing our common egalitarian aims and understandings.
